When you help the homeless people, then crime goes down. People who say that crime goes up when you help the homeless are wrong-minded. When you help the homeless then the crime goes down. When you feed people, and help them, the crime goes down.
And as people are helped, then they will rise and help other people.
I saw people who were dirty, homeless, and walking around hearing voices, and you get them in a shelter and you get them on medication, and soon they are well, like a normal person. And many people go on to help other people.
One friend was mentally ill, on the streets homeless, they put him in a shelter, gave him help, got him on medication, and soon he was helping other people. He put together a team of volunteers from N/A and they sold beer and hot dogs at sporting events, etc, and they raised over one million dollars for charity to feed hungry people. This man who was formerly homeless and mentally ill went out and put together a team and raised over one million dollars for charity.
When you help people then it creates a whole chain of positive events.
Crime goes down as you help the homeless people. And many of the homeless people can become Crisis Intervention Specialists, and they can do other good things to help other people and to be a good healthy part of society.
In Anaheim we are trying to foster a community of kindness, and helping the homeless goes along with who we are as a society. And Orange County is great, I had dinner with the Mayor of Laguna Beach at a big dinner meeting to look for ways to help the homeless, a friend of mine was a guest speaker. And I have friends in Santa Ana who are helping the homeless at the MHA, and then there is the new Wellness Center in Orange. The OC is great, and we need to help the homeless, and as we help the homeless then the crime goes down.
Salute,
