ScoMo has arrived back from America talking "climate emergency". Part of the AUKUS and QUAD pacts it seems.
All good. He should also commit to "zero emissions by 2050" , tell everyone what they want to hear...all the politicians in the world in power now will likely all be dead or past it by 2050.
Join the band, sing the "climate emergy" song, stay in power. Better start building nuclear reactors...to slowly take over from coal.

Bad News for the "progressives" in the Democratic Party, and their allies, like josh and Bama:

Raids that targeted alleged members of a Hamas cell in the West Bank overnight Saturday, and killed five Palestinian suspects, prevented a major terror attack reminiscent of the Second Intifada, officials told Hebrew-language television networks.

The cell planned to conduct a sequence of kidnappings and murders across the country, defense officials told Channel 13 news. The group did not, however, have the capability to commit suicide bombings, the network said.

Officials estimated to Channel 12 that the cell had also been planning a major attack in Jerusalem, similar to those seen during the violent uprising in the early 2000s, without elaborating further.

The arrest operation began after the Shin Bet realized that the group was apparently set to carry out the attack imminently, the network said.

The Israel Defense Forces believes some members of the Hamas cell are still on the loose. In total, some 20 suspected members of the cell have been arrested in recent days, according to the military.

The operations against the cell in the West Bank will likely continue in the coming days, officials told the Kan public broadcaster. But still, the IDF believes it largely prevented the group

Something to chew on,  republicans of Elba.   Maybe look at other options in your state's GOP primary?

Here's a thought for anyone voting:  don't pick who you personally like,  pick who is best for the country.

Here's why you go to a swamp preserve if you're Brian Laundrie:

When you kill yourself the gators make short work of your remains.   A distraught person could see this option as one that spares people.   No one has to find a bloated corpse.

Interesting comments from the Pope on some prelates and the Catholic tv network in America.

In my mind the best idea is to move the West Bank and Gaza Strip into Jordan, including their populations.

Not the soil, just the same size areas.
I like everyone to be happy.
Folk in those two areas are obviously not happy...should be much happier in Jordan.
Also, Israel would just have its outer borders, much easier for border control.

The folks on the West Bank are so opposed to your notion that once they attempted to take over Jordan for themselves and overthrow the king.

And where are you to going to take the land from to put "Gaza" in Jordan, even positing that folks who live on the Mediterranean would wish to leave it, which is by no means certain?

What the folks in those two areas are unhappy about would not be fixed by their being moved to Jordan, unfortunately. (My own idea was, in fact, to have the West Bank return to Jordanian control, where it had been at one point, but have Egypt take over Gaza. Nobody would be happy with that, either.)
