Some Catholic nuns are helping some poor people in India by creating jobs growing organic cotton, I support these types of aid for the poor.

https://www.vaticannews.va/en/church/news/2021-10/laudato-si-story-india-cotton-girls-assisi-garments.html

Salute,

Tony

Australia too is helping the poor in India...get electricity for the first time...
...by selling India quality coal for its new power stations.

I saw that on the local news here in California, that is sad. We need to move into a new future of clean energy. We need to get away from fossil fuels.

And here in Orange County we have to deal with a broken pipe and spilled oil, a ship caught an oil pipe with its anchor. We need to get away from using oil so that we do not have to deal with oil spills. California wants to ban offshore oil drilling.

We need to advance solar energy, and wind, and geothermal, and hydro, and even natural gas is okay. And new jobs can be created. And the new energy companies can be owned by the people, so the people can sell energy to the hotels and stuff and they can get money to help the homeless, etc. In Anaheim we the people own the power company, and we sell electricity to Disneyland, etc, and we use some of the money to help the homeless people.

Poor people in India, and elsewhere, can own the new clean energy companies, and they can use some of the money generated to advance their people. They can use some of the money earned to create a better society for their people, like the Native American Indians do with the money they earn from casinos, etc, they can use the money to educate their people, and to advance their people.

We need clean energy, which is generated from energy companies which are owned by the people, with the money going to the people to be used by the people to create a better world for our people.

Salute,

Tony V.

Some day I'd like to try some of that acid you're taking.

Tony's on the right track, mostly.
All energy from wind and solar, hydro, nuclear ...all good. Just not possible yet.
Abolition of oil, not possible yet. Fracking to get gas...no thank you.

China is building new coal- fired power stations as fast as it can. Where is the UN etc bashing up China because of it?

Republicans have vowed to act like terrible pieces of shit until they start receiving respect that they clearly do not deserve.

As an organization, they should have been put down a long time ago.

Half way to becoming a typically amoral republican, according to the report.

Got to ban all civilian gun sales and strictly limit possession.

Thanks for the link.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/10/politics/unemployment-benefits-jobs-september/index.html

Quote
Out-of-work Americans did not rush back into the job market after beefed-up unemployment benefits ended nationwide in September.

The labor force shrank last month for the first time since May, signaling that more people were opting to sit on the sidelines and not actively look for work, according to the federal jobs report released Friday.

"If unemployment benefits were the driving force behind labor market dynamics, then you would not have seen that effect," said Gordon Gray, director of fiscal policy at the American Action Forum, a right-leaning think tank.

...

While experts caution against drawing conclusions from one or two months of data, the September jobs report provides yet more evidence that pandemic unemployment benefits did not greatly contribute to the country's labor shortage. Other factors -- including child care issues, virus fears and workers' reevaluation of their life goals -- are playing a major role in prompting people to remain at home, economists said.

The latest report undercuts the argument made by many Republicans and business owners that the nation's economic recovery was being slowed by a federal safety net they deemed too generous.

Governors in 26 states -- all but one Republican -- opted to terminate at least one of the three pandemic unemployment programs in June or July, saying it would help solve staffing shortfalls. (Courts in two states later required officials to continue the benefits through early September.)

However, after they did so, employment did not grow substantially faster in those states, previous studies and government data have found.

So the answer to a declining workforce is to spend massive amounts of tax dollars to create new jobs?
If Americans do not fill existing jobs why would they fill newly created Government jobs?

Only a Socialist thinks that way.
And socialism is a proven failure.

Apparently why Denmark has the highest rating of life satisfaction and happiness in the world.   All that failure.

Spending tax dollars on quality childcare and making it affordable to working class families does increase employment, and makes new career options more attractive.  One of the ways socialist programs have worked well in many countries and increased worker satisfaction and stability.

That is why Red avoids anything managed through those Socialist internet protocols, just as he avoids driving on Socialist roads and bridges and never seeks the protection of Socialist firemen or cops.

Red is an independent sort with a keen mind and a real clue about what is going on in the world.

I admire the way Red has refused his social security checks and Medicare payments, and only drinks water from his well and only eats food made from farms that get no federal subsidy.

And I am sure he is opposed to Biden's plan to reshore production jobs so that during global crises we are less disrupted by supply chain shortages.   That sounds great,  but Red knows nothing of merit can come from a sleepy socialist.

Was that supposed to mean something?
It had nothing to do with the question I asked.
Or that Joe Manchin keeps bringing up in the Senate

I want to make sure that children are getting taken care of, that people are basically having an opportunity to go back to work. We have 11 million jobs that we have not filled, 8 million people still unemployed. Something
Is not matching up there.
