That's like using the Mueller report to claim Trump was exonerated. The churches they investigated refused to cooperate and therefore the "huge investigation" had no ability to turn up anything.

Kind of like how Trump is trying to block the Jan 6 documents from seeing the light of day - their secrecy was as self-serving as his is. "The truth shall set you free" is not something Osteen practices.

Grassley at the end pushed for voluntary changes in how the mega-churches do things. We all know what that results in.

Maybe if there had been a liberal mega-church to investigate, the GOP would have taken the probe seriously. Maybe not.

There was nothing in that report or that investigation that allows an honest conclusion that there is no controversy.
