Mr. Coalhead takes pride in being so very obtuse. It might be how he became fossilized in the first place.

Marco Rubio is pounding the drum about China, and about how the corporations are taking advantage of communist slavery in China, and he is wasting time if he thinks that he will change the minds of the corporations with ethics, instead we need to deal with the corporations with economics, with money, and with what we do control, our ports.

We need to have tariffs on imports, and we need to put high tariffs on imports from China until China improves their human rights. And we can use the money to educate and to train our people, we can build new colleges and medical schools in Chicago and in Detroit, etc, and new tech schools, etc. Raising tariffs on imports also encourages and rewards local production of products locally.

We can control the corporations with what they understand, money and economics, and we can better train our work-force, we can elevate our people, we can improve our neighborhoods, and we can bring the jobs back. The corporations may not understand ethics, but they do understand money and economics.

Salute,

Tony V.

Yes, 'Free trade is never free' says my no1 radio host.
He also says  " there should be a tariff on imported goods equal to the difference in labor, energy, and manufacturing costs between local companies and those in other countries".

The decline in offshore wind energy fed into the German grid is purely weather-related,  said TenneT COO Tim MeyerjutgensThere was simply less wind on the German North Sea in the first half of 2021 than in the first half of 2020.
OFFSHOREWINDS.BIZ

Orsted blamed low wind speeds across Europe as the  largest offshore wind developer warned that its profits for 2021 were likely to come in at the low end of its guidance.
Out of 88 quarters on record, it is an extraordinarily poor wind quarter,Nipper said.
It is very serious. It is like you are  a farmer and it does not rain.

Yes, when the wind doesn't blow, and the sun doesn't shine, wind and solar are useless.

Yahoo article was derived from the same misleading WSJ article.   The surge in price was driven by a huge rise in NG costs.   And now that wind is picking up again in the fall, as the article noted,  it is helping alleviate some of the NG shortage -- the UK has 24 gW from wind as it moves into the windier cold months.

And again,  the strawman is that only wind is in the renewable column.   Solar, tidal, geo, and new generation reactors are all in development.   You build overcapacity into the system in order to prepare for the doldrums.  You build long-term backup storage.  Innovation requires imagination and a positive attitude, not carping over every bump in the road from snowflakes like Ward.

Chris Wallace on the Biden Presidency

It is not in good shape. And the fact of the matter is that Joe Biden does not have enough juice. Not with Republicans, he does mot have enough juice with his own party. Because remember, this has nothing to do with Republicans. This is something that his party could do. He does not have enough juice with his own party. That is twice now in a month he has gone up to the Hill, met with the House Democratic Caucus, pleaded with them to pass the infrastructure bill and in effect, said I am going to cover you. I have your back and I will cover you on the big tax and spend. I think it is now down to 1.75 trillion

I have been covering Washington for 40 years and you do not  put the president in a room, maybe with a foreign leader you do, but certainly not with members of his own party unless you know what the result is going to be. And you normally know the result because either people are too supportive of him or too scared of him to buck him.

That is not true with Joe Biden.

Vatican News

3 hours

Pope Francis received the President of the United States of America, Joseph Biden, in audience on Friday. The Holy Father and President Biden discussed, among other things, migration, the protection of human rights, and the Covid-19 pandemic.

----------------

It is great that Biden met with the Pope, hopefully Biden was also able to meet with the King of Spain. I saw that Biden met with the leaders of France, that is great.

Salute,

Tony V.
Sorry but the King of Spain is living with the children of the Shah of Iran on Battle Mountain with the Heirs of either Gene Autry or.Roy Rogers or something like that.

Anybody catch the pic of the so-called white supremacist group backing Glen Youngkin  in the Virginia gubernatorial race today.?
Interesting the five people included a black and a woman. Who  knew white supremacists were so sensitive to DIVERSITY?
Turns out it was all a stunt by the Lincoln Project and a laughable disaster for the MacAuliffe campaign.

How sad is it that democrats think they can win elections by focusing on manufactured race issues.

Pretty sad.

Battle Mountain has Gold mines which can be used to stabilize world economies by the World Bank and by the IMF.

And Battle Mountain can be used to raise cattle, and pigs, and goats, etc.

California is huge, and we have a lot of ports, we can invest in the ports in Mexico and we can make money from the imports to elevate our people, we can build libraries, and observatories, etc, and we can build colleges, and medical schools, and tech schools, etc. We need to have tariffs on the imports in order to raise money to elevate the American people.

Salute,

Tony V.
