One third...of Americans don't have more than $1 in savings, and are on the verge of being homeless.
Likely not much different in the rest of the 'Christian' West.

If I were a young woman, or man, there today...no way would I be dating anyone unless they there rich or had a high-salary job.
I'd be saving every cent I could and buying somewhere to live as soon as possible...living with my parents, hopefully I would have some who have a home....in the meantime.
No way I'd be wasting money going for dinner dates, I'd be saving it. Dates if any would be an ice cream in a park or at a beach.
No way on God's earth I'd be late forties with a teen daughter, married for 23 years with my husband cheating with a 27 yr old gym instructor he intends to marry, I getting a pittance in the divorce and ending up living in my car.

Minneapolis voters said no to defund the police led by Blacks who called the defunders racist.

I think the high murder year was the primary driver of votes against the Public Safety conversion.   I doubt that many people,  outside of some hacks,  really felt the proposal was racist in its intent.   Most votes were likely more of the Minneapolis isnt ready for this type.   High levels of street violence on the north side motivated a boots on the ground ethos.

Possibly.   Culture wars,  especially on parental influence on schools and vaxx,  are heating up.   If BIF and BBB both pass in some functional form,  that might help Dems.

a)  campaigned on some actual issues affecting Virginians

b)  apologized after his gaffe

he would NO DOUBT have won this election.
