We need to do more to address the issue of homelessness in the USA, we need to bring our people indoors and feed them. The easiest way to do that is to copy Rome, Italy, and have hostels where you can take a nice hot shower and where you can sleep in a nice comfortable bed for $15 per night. We need to make a simple shower and a bed affordable to all.
It should not be $1,000 per month for a cheap motel room, with high crime, etc. The cheap motels are horrible places, and they are not cheap, the people are paying $1,000 per month to live there.
People could have nice, clean, safe, hostels for $15 per night. And there could be supporting businesses around the hostels, you can have a 24 hour convenience store, and an internet cafe, and a laundromat, and a donut shop, etc.
On the issue of taxes, and helping our people, all people should receive Social Security and Medical, and of course Section 8 Housing assistance, etc. All Americans should at least get enough for food and shelter and should have medical care, and we need to educate our people, poor people need to have access to an education and job training. We help people all around the world, and we can for sure help our own people. It is not socialism to take care of our people, it is civility. Basic food and shelter and an education is the least we can do for our people. Anyone who thinks that our people should be homeless, hungry, or ignorant, is not a good American.
And we can use tariffs on imports to help to raise money to educate and train our people, etc. I support low taxes for Americans, and high tariffs on imports.
Salute,
