That cracker kid playing banjo in Deliverance, doing the Earl Scruggs contrapuntal thing with Ronnie Cox, was way more evolved than this Massie family.

For your consideration:

When it comes to free scientific discourse, I will say that is more important to me than the discomfort of some officials and students over a political opinion.   As for merit, a place like MIT is not going to work out for you if you lack talent and OCD level work ethic.

For our immigrants who want to study, we have a great college in Elko, Nevada. Elko is nice and safe, with low crime, and the college is fantastic.

Here is a link for the college in Elko...

https://www.gbcnv.edu/

And the immigrants can have communes in Battle Mountain, and in Elko, etc, and they can help each other. They can raise pigs and they can sell pork to the people of San Francisco, etc. And they can raise hamburger for fast food restaurants, etc.

On the issue of the history of Elko, many of the founders were Basques.

Salute,

Oh, the Covid Numbers !

According to the New York Times coronavirus data tracker, Florida is reporting the lowest number of daily cases per 100,000 in the nation, sitting at seven.  Hawaii and Alabama are tied right behind, reporting eight daily cases per capita.

While Alabama and Hawaii have lingered near the bottom, Florida has, for weeks now, reported the lowest cases per capita in the nation a phenomenon largely ignored by the establishment media, which battered Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis  throughout the pandemic as he refused to both embrace extended lockdowns or implement a statewide mask mandate.

Other parts of the country, namely blue states, are reporting significantly higher numbers. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) Michigan, for instance, is reporting a daily average of 7,768 cases, or 78 per 100,000. Gov. Tom Wolf D)in  Pennsylvania is reporting a daily average of 6,742 cases, or 53 per capita, and Gov. Kathy Hochul in New York is reporting a daily average of 7,778 cases, or 40 per capita.

If Florida had not fired all of their health data people, official numbers coming out of Florida might seem strange considering the policies their grifters in charge have been implementing. Since they have fired everyone with integrity, we know numbers coming out of Florida are pure fabrication.

Was going to point that out.  And Florida has more eating and socializing outdoors this part of the year than the blue states mentioned, activity which has been linked to lower infection rates.

Actually, the main factor is that Florida previously had among the highest infection and death rates, which means covid has swept through more of its population.  So the fact that there are fewer people to infect (and that Florida does not count infections of partial-year residents who are numerous) is probably the main statistical effect.

Hope that helps.

The climate effect is also somewhat contributory.  Hawaii is also near the bottom in infection rates.  So no, not a fart.

Looks like Bart did.

Will reply to comments with supporting facts.

But maybe best to let health professionals have the last word.

Quote from physician in article

Florida only reports those positive cases among people who are full-time residents of Florida. So, if your full-time residence is in Ohio, and you have a condo in Miami Beach and you go down there and you get COVID, youre not a case in Florida.

Thanks for the chat.
