Bill Clinton proved that "it's the economy, stupid". You've lost sight of that. That is how you win in American politics. But you'd rather lose, it seems. Saddling your great grandchildren with excessive debt is something they're not likely to think well of you for doing, but being able to get up, go to work, and enjoy the dignity that comes from taking care of THEMSELVES is something that you can help secure for them, now.
Keep the economy chugging, and keep on message with how historically unprecedented that circumstance is, and exploit the obvious cracks in the other party---and you can start to sway some of those across the aisle, too...and maybe we'll get to some of the more realistic demands that you uber-libs want down the road.
The fact you don't recognize success because you only got some cookies and not the whole bag, especially in a Congress you don't dominate, shows you don't really know much about how the game is really played.

Since elections are about winning the swing votes and the swing states, and about getting more than the people in your party on your side, and the best way to do tha has always been about the economy. The economy is humming like never before. Focus on the good. That's how you win elections in the USA. But, you'd rather focus on the leftists in the party not getting their way, and you'd rather spend time incessantly whining about it.
As far those great big, expensive, kick-the-can-down-the-road-to-the-grandkids handouts that you promote as your God-given right, maybe you should go back and think about the words of a Democratic Party POTUS:
"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."The 1990's were indeed good times. Why, I'd bet even you were employed that entire decade.
