I read that Sweden built one million homes over a 10 year period to house all of their homeless people. One couple said that getting their home was like winning the lottery, they love their new home. We need to do the same thing in the USA, we need to build like crazy in order to get our homeless people into housing.
We can have Mental Health Associations, and Wellness Centers, etc, helping people. And you feed the people breakfast and lunch while you are signing them up for all of the programs to help them, and you also serve them all free coffee.
In Los Angeles new towers are being built, and in Hollywood, and new towers will be built in the Platinum Triangle in Anaheim, lots of new apartments are being built. My local councilman does not believe that it will be hard to get the homeless people into housing, he said that we have all of the resources, he said that we should easily be able to house everyone.
And we need to make a nice hot shower and a nice comfortable bed affordable for everyone, including with cheap hostels for $15 per night, etc.
I had a friend who used to cruise around in a van with a female social worker and they picked up homeless people and they took them to a shelter to get help, and those kind of programs are good.
Also, we can train the prisoners on how to do construction work, and when they get out of prison they can join groups such as Homeboy Industries and they can build housing for the homeless, etc. They can also work with Habitat for Humanity.
And of course people can buy land in Battle Mountain, Nevada, for one thousand dollars per acre, so the USA does have cheap areas, it does not all have to be expensive like in Los Angeles.
Biden talks about wanting to help the people on the bottom, and the homeless people are as low as they can be, Biden and Harris must remember that they serve the homeless Americans too, we must help our homeless people.
We can also do things to prevent people from becoming homeless, such as by sending our foster youth to college so that they do not end up homeless, and we need to help the abused women so they do not end up homeless, etc. We also need to train our people for the jobs of the future.
Salute,
