Just want to note that Redward was correct, that Sotomayor was wildly offbase in her covid/children statement. According to HHS data, as of Jan. 8 there are about 5,000 children hospitalized in a pediatric bed, either with suspected covid or a confirmed laboratory test. This figure includes patients in observation beds. So Sotomayors number is at least 20 times higher than reality, even before you determine how many are in serious condition. 

So, fair point, a SCt justice, assessing relevant facts in a pending decision, needs to get accurate ones.

Also worth noting that admittance rate has doubled in the last two weeks and we know hospitalization trails infection up or down with a lag.

We have no drugs that reduce deaths to zero. Fox News can claim otherwise and you can quote them until you both are blue in the face.

I've read the claims and I've read the clinical reports, including pre-press papers when that is the best I could do.

The early claims for zero deaths have been disproven and expectations lowered.

Not because of drugs that reduce deaths, Ward.

Omicron seems to be less likely to kill, combined with the reduction in hospitalizations from vaccinations plus boosters. To a lesser extent, previously having had COVID has provided some protection, but not as much nor as well.

This has all been covered repeatedly.
