Agree? Or disagree?

Agree, because a lot of "glory" is the result of figuring out how to close a dark chapter and advance freedom and dignity.  Understanding history without the dark stuff is like understanding window screens without any knowledge of insects or vermin.

It correlates with a spike in fentanyl use.

It is also the only channel where diaper fetishists can get the type of programming they most desire.

We have old out-dated officials in public office who are not in touch with the people such as Supervisor Barger. Barger is still waging war against the marijuana growers. Marijuana is legal now, and we need to make the growers legal and we need to tax the growers, and we can also make sure that the weed that they are selling is pure and safe. And we need to get people into legal things such as weed and wine, and we need to get people away from things which may have Fentanyl in them. We need to get people away from the heroin and away from the meth and away from the cocaine, and we need to get people into good legal things such as coffee, weed, and wine. And the growers are actually creating something, and can pay taxes to support the government officials who do not actually create anything. Using the police to attack the growers is old and out-dated, and instead we need to make the growers legal and the growers can pay taxes.

Salute,

Tony V.

The growers should all move to Battle Mountain and hire Filipinos to tend the crop. Nude calendars featuring the King of Spain, beautiful Irani women and Trigger can fund it.

Do we need a nude Trigger warning?

There is still much that is not known about the coup attempt. Butler demanded to know why the names of the countrys richest men were removed from the final version of the committees report.

Too bad Ward couldn't read that far into the Guardian story.  LOL!

In 2006 Collins cosponsored legislation to reauthorize key but temporary parts of Voting Rights Act (1965) that protect the voting rights of all Americans.

Susan Collins:
One of the most fundamental and significant rights afforded to American citizens is the right to vote.  This right must not be hampered or denied to any citizen through discriminatory tactics .This bill will ensure that the voting rights afforded to all Americans are protected.

The renewal prohibits the enactment of any election law that would deny or abridge voting rights based on race, color, or membership in a language minority.  It also allows private citizens and the government to challenge discriminatory voting practices and procedures. It was endorsed by a wide array of civil rights organizations, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and the American Bar Association.

It was passed by an overwhelming vote in the House and unanimously in the Senate both controlled by the GOP and signed into law by President George W. Bush.

About that mild COVID condition...

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2787975

Assessment of Functional Mobility After COVID-19 in Adults Aged 50 Years or Older in the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging

But what does this assessment have to say? (Bold Red is from me.)

Objective  To evaluate the association between a COVID-19 diagnosis and change in mobility and physical function of adults in Canada aged 50 years or older during the initial pandemic lockdown.

Quote
[size=12pt]Key Points
Question  What is the association of a COVID-19 diagnosis and mobility and physical function among community-living middle-aged and older Canadians during the initial pandemic lockdown in 2020?

Findings  This cohort study of 24 114 participants found that community-living middle-aged and older adults with confirmed, probable, or suspected COVID-19 had nearly 2-fold higher odds of worsening mobility and physical function compared with adults without COVID-19, although most participants with COVID-19 had mild to moderate disease and were not hospitalized.

Meaning  These findings suggest that individuals with mild and moderate COVID-19 who were predominantly not hospitalized experienced deficits in functional mobility compared with those without COVID-19.

The closest to good news we get from this are that the information predates Omicron and that it is still a fairly low percentage impacted, even doubled.

The bad news is that this is an example of a delayed effect not visible from the disease's initial time impacting the body and therefore it is indicative of potential consequences for even a mild case of COVID-19 for elders. Further, the vastly greater number of patients, both hospitalized and not, from Omicron means that if the same percentages are impacted from mild COVID now as then that the raw number of people prematurely inflicted with mobility issues will be huge.

Too soon to know, but not too soon to start investigating, I imagine. I will keep a watch out for successor research.
