Our government has a lot of programs to help people, but we need to do more. We have 60,000 homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles so obviously we are not doing enough.
We need to build housing for our homeless people, and we can pay poor people to build the housing, HUD can give the contracts to minority owned businesses and I think the foster youth need have an opportunity to train to get government contracts to build housing for our homeless people, etc.
And when we build housing, that creates jobs for all of the trades, plus lumber, and concrete, and paint, etc. The SBA can give business loans to poor people to start a new company manufacturing paint, or whatever.
More people need to learn about how easy it is to get help from the government to create a business. And we need to help our homeless, and we need to help the foster youth, etc. A foster kid of any race should always have a chance to get a government contract when they grow up.
Salute,
