Say What?

Democrats, the party preaching an end to fossil fuels, now are proposing a monthly $100 check to all drivers when gas sells for 4$ a gallon or more. Up to $400 a family.
This is not a rebate but new funds coming from where?

Talk about panicking for votes. trying to help people negatively effected by rising gas prices caused by supply chain issues and sanctions on Russia.
Post edited for accuracy, you Cartoonishly Partisan Hack.

The high gas prices are from predatory practices by the oil companies more than either supply chain or sanction causes.
LOL!
The people have already figured out that that government is the cause of inflation and spending money we do not  have will only make it worse.

If you want to help people then follow those states  suspending gasoline taxes.  At least that way we get to keep our own money.

That is right: those pot holes aint going to fix themselves. That is why we need the gas tax revenue. Spreading the cost throughout the budget avoids underfunding necessary infrastructure repairs.

Jamaicans in a village protesting.
"Prince William and Kate faced backlash from locals during tour".
All understandable...but they really would be better off sticking with Billy Boy and Katie than going it alone in today's big bad world.

Mmm, maybe Jamaica will be signing up with China for all the *free* stuff...*everybody else* is.

Let's assume for the sake of the discussion that you are right and it is nothing more than politicking.

What would make it idiocy in your humble opinion, Ward?

How does it compare to Gov. Kemp's income tax rebate in Georgia?
https://www.wtoc.com/2022/03/23/kemp-signs-bill-bringing-tax-refund-georgians/

Is that also "straight campaign idiocy," but by a GOP official? Or is that wisdom?

Rebating taxes is letting taxpayers keep their own money.
Writing checks by printing money we do not
 is not very smart.
Especially if the democrat goal is to reduce the amount of gasoline we burn
