Sure, Luee.

I'm not debating the status of undocumented (illegal) aliens. I am debating the status of the vast majority of people who are coming to our southern border - the ones you keep besmirching by calling them nannies, drug dealers, and sex traffickers.

The ones the prior administration denied opportunities to apply for asylum in some cases, but certainly denied refugee status - about whom you blithely say "broken economy" or "looking for jobs" or other such crap.

Can you admit it isn't the Constitution?

Can you admit that whether a Ukrainian fleeing violence and unlivable conditions or a Honduran fleeing violence and unlivable conditions that they have equal need to leave their countries?
Upon research from wiki

The United States Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787. Article I, section 8, clause 4 of the Constitution expressly gives the United States Congress the power to establish a uniform rule of naturalization.[1]

Unfortunately immigration was restricted at a terrible time for European refugees.
In 1932 President Hoover and the State Department essentially shut down immigration during the Great Depression as immigration went from 236,000 in 1929 to 23,000 in 1933. This was accompanied by voluntary repatriation to Europe and Mexico, and coerced repatriation and deportation of between 500,000 and 2 million Mexican Americans, mostly citizens, in the Mexican Repatriation. Total immigration in the decade of 1931 to 1940 was 528,000 averaging less than 53,000 a year.

Oh boy! Luee learned to use Wikipedia to illustrate absolutely nothing except that he can quote Wikipedia.

Yes, the Constitution gives the federal government the right to govern. Duh.

That means, for example, that Congress could (and did) pass a law declaring that any US female citizen who married an Asian man would lose her citizenship.

Immigration laws are laws. They are not written into either the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

And they do not deserve the worship you show them, even when your facts are right, let along wrong.

Meanwhile, in Europe, the largest government-backed phone hacking scheme ever.

It's huge. And it's horrifying.

The thread is long, but worth a read.

Whoa!

Those with delicate nervous systems may wish to skip research on the candiru, the Amazon fish which inspired the name of the spyware firm.  The fish has a certain talent for infiltration where no person would wish to be infiltrated.

Funny, I've been watching a Catalan tv series recently, so that region (of Spain, where this hacking scheme was hatched, not the Amazon) was fresh on my mind.

Why is America's Immigration Bureaucracy broken?
Simple question, simple answer......because it's overwhelmed!   because it's flooded!

Not everyone in the world can just move into America because their own countries are stuffed up.

Not everyone in the world can just move into America because their own countries are stuffed up.

(a) The US was only fourth in asylum applications in 2020. That's in raw applications. Per million residents, it was 32nd. Per million in population, Australia took in nearly triple the number the US took in.

So, you're right that they can't all move here --> but it is not as if we're at risk of taking the most or even in the top 10 on a ratio basis.

(b) "stuffed up" is a funny way of addressing houses being blown up, mothers and children being raped, etc.

Just the answer one would expect from a malinformed moron.

You are wrong.

The American Immigration Bureaucracy problems stem from it having been hollowed out by bubonic idiots like you given too much sway for too long.

I thought you made a comment about the citizenship process having nothing to do with the constitution, moderator. Clearly it was given to be under the control of congress from the earliest. Just what is your argument outside of rude insults? Shit, moron, idiot, duh. The radical left has taken over and nothing works. Immigration, crime, foreign affairs, domestic energy, nothing, made the presidential office look inept and foolish. OK did help curb covid. The broken watch theory at play?

You are a putz, luee, full of prejudices that you try to pass off as conclusions.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refugee_Act

Congress, which you seem to agree has a right to pass laws, has done so repeatedly since 1932, to open and improve the immigration process for refugees and asylum seekers.

Democracies do not seem to work the way you want them to.

Try Belarus, and take Kid with you.
