Barton posted over in the Asia forum about the Taliban's latest action that puts the lie to their prior claims of future governance. It made me think of a new "game" to play.

Who does it?

For each question, choose one of (a) Totalitarian rulers, (b) Theocratic rulers, or (c) US Republican officials.

1. Who tries to dictate what you can do in a different jurisdiction?

2. Who encourages citizens to rat out their friends and neighbors?

3. Who claims they will work one way, but then reverses course?

4. Who wants to block abortions, while providing little support to pregnant women or to new mothers?

5. Who supports the death penalty?

Stuff your rosaries and your weaponized prayer. We will remain outraged after this weekend, so keep praying. We will be burning the Eucharist to show our disgust for the abuse Catholic Churches have condoned for centuries, tweeted the organization Ruth Sent Uswhich has called on abortion supporters to protest at Catholic churches across the country over the Mother s Day weekend.
St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Peter Catholic Church, both of which are on Capitol Hill, reportedly requested increased police presence amid fears that protesters will attempt to disrupt Sunday morning Mass.

Meanwhile the Thug-In-Chief refuses to condemn not only the potential violence, he says nothing about the leak(which was an attack on our Government) and willnot even endorse prosecution of the leaker.
He is leaving that to the Justice Department!
His obviously advancing dementia is to blame, I guess, in him forgetting that as President he HEADS the Justice Department!

Hollywood is a hard place.

One of my friends who I grew up with is from Hollywood, and she went through hell, she was homeless on the streets of Hollywood, clean and sober and begging for honest work. She thought that she was losing her mind and she called her Mother to ask her if she was a bad person or if she was crazy. When you are out there homeless you feel like you must be a horrible person to be out there homeless. She worked any honest job that she could get, and she worked cleaning houses with Cuba Gooding Jr before he found success, he was poor too, when Cuba won his Oscar then she said it could not have happened to a nicer guy. Now my friend runs a company to sell air time for radio stations, if you want to put a commercial for your company onto the radio then her company puts your commercial onto the radio for you. She is a cool person, I hope that she is doing well. And she still lives in Hollywood.

Salute,

Red does not have beliefs. He has fear, inadequacy, and self-loathing. These are true feelings in search of a rationalization. None amount to an actual belief.

As the water recedes from the drought, they are finding barrels with dead bodies in them in Lake Mead. Vegas was built by the Italians, with Jewish money, and that was the way they dealt with bad people in Vegas in the old days, they would kill them and sink them in the lake. Vegas was not big on cops and prisons, but instead they dealt with the bad guys themselves.

Hollywood is a place of extreme wealth, while at the same time there are poor and suffering people here who cannot get a break.

We need to create a bridge here in California between our wealthy corporations and our poor communities. We have the movie studios here in Hollywood, and other companies, we need to build a bridge between our wealthy companies and our poor communities.

And instead of sending movie jobs to Canada, and to Georgia, and to other places, we need to train our people to do the movie jobs here in California, and we need to create jobs in California. We have USC film school, we have the Dodge film school at Chapman, and we have the AADA which is training actors, Jessica Chastain just won an Oscar for best actress, we need to create jobs for our people right here in Hollywood.

We also need to have Wellness Centers, and Mental Health Association offices, so that people have a place to go when they need help. People do not need to sell drugs or work as prostitutes, we need to help people so that they can remain honest, we need to have places where people can go for help.
