Meanwhile, as the GOP nationally continues to ignore the climate and pretends that problems are local when they're really national, Texas is once again suffering from a shortage of power, the Colorado "River" is getting worse every day, Lake Mead's at record low, and the western drought is spawning all kinds of spin-off issues.

It is all a hoax, Fake News.

California has just reported that we have the largest surplus in American history...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/governor-gavin-newsom-announces-largest-state-budget-surplus-in-american-history/ar-AAXfX5y

Meanwhile we have 60,000 homeless people in Los Angeles alone, and our children are all becoming little gang members instead of having higher dreams and aspirations. We need to help our homeless people, and we need to improve education, and we need to create good, honest opportunities for our people, etc.

"It is black, brown, indigenous, poor families who are affected most by this formula shortage"

Fuccccccck youuuuuu.....

The WIC program limits purchases to just a couple brands, a couple of which are Abbott's which are the ones in short supply due to the Sturgis MI shutdown, so it is a fact that poor minorities are most affected.  (and many of those moms work, and cannot easily afford the equipment to switch to breast pumping and storage, and some have medical reasons the breast milk is not an option). Half the formula sold in America is through WIC.

Conceding to the facts here would be a good move for you.

With Lake Mead drying up then that means that we cannot use Hoover Dam for electricity generation, we need to save the water for drinking and for watering lawns, etc, so that means Vegas needs to get their electricity from other sources besides Hoover Dam. So Nevada is using wind, geo-thermal, and Solar is big in Nevada. Now, the new crisis is that Asia cannot produce solar panels fast enough for Nevada, and others, the supply of solar panels from Asia cannot keep up with demand. It is one crisis after another.

People need to plan ahead so that people know what is going on, instead of just dealing with each crisis as it happens, we can think and we can plan ahead and we can have contingency plans, etc.

And while it is good to have world trade and to work together to meet the crisis, it is important for us to be able to help ourselves without depending on China. And we can send the jobs to Kentucky, etc, instead of sending the jobs to China. Kentucky can build solar panels, etc. And guys from MIT can open new factories in Kentucky to manufacture new green energy items, etc.

We need to plan ahead, and we need to send opportunities to the poor desperate people in Kentucky, etc.

Which would acknowledge that the WIC program is government interference in the market.
30 states have exclusive contracts with formula manufacturers that on paper decreases state spending to buy the formula but made up by huge rebates from the company to the state. Voila, four companies control the supply via government created monopolies. Add to that the US Tariffs on foreign suppliers to protect domestic production then throw in a health scare and you have a great formula for impending shortages. The other wild card is an administration asleep when warning bells went off months ago.

Apply all that great logic to the Biden desire to take over the private economy with Medicare for All, free child care, universal pre-K and you will never rest easily again.

We do not have enough doctors to have free medical care for all Americans, we need to send our people to school to become doctors, we need to give free college to people who train to become doctors.

My doctor just retired, and I no longer have the luxury of having my own doctor, instead now I have to go to a nurse practitioner, and at this point I am lucky to have a nurse practitioner. There is a huge shortage of doctors here, and we also have a huge shortage of psychiatrists.

Right now California just had the largest surplus in American history, we need to invest some of the money into training doctors, and into building up our healthcare system, and training psychiatrists, and opening more wellness centers, and mental health associations, etc.

It sounds great for everyone to have food, shelter, and healthcare, but we need to put people to work to grow the food, and we need to build way more housing, and we need to train our people to be doctors and we need to invest money in our healthcare system.

If we send people to college for free to become doctors, then we can take the high cost of an education out of the mix, and we can get doctors who are becoming doctors in order to help people instead of being a doctor for the money. We do not want for our doctors to be motivated by money, we want doctors who are motivated by the desire to help other people. We need to train our doctors for free, and then they will not have to accrue high debt and then they will not be money motivated.

The democrats control the government.

Republicans control the Texas power grid, though it is more organized crime than government.

It's not just that.

The GOP through the filibuster controls the government, for the most part. They can and do block energy reform efforts.

And the GOP controlled the government for 8 wasted years in which they did nothing about the ever worsening problems, denying causation while refusing to acknowledge what was happening.

Check my next post for Major League Denialism.

Tell me again why you support the GOP, which is opposed to almost everything you say.
