JOSH - just an FYI that Firefox can no longer connect to Elba.  Switched to Chrome to post this.  Anyway, might let owner know the site needs some kind of security update.  I can copy/paste the message that Firefox gives when it tries to connect, if that helps.

I opened my Firefox and replicated the problem.

Wandered over to the Support pages for Firefox Source Docs to read an explanation of the error message, so I could tell Liq what needs fixing, but I think an update to the current version of Simple Machines will probably fix both the Firefox problem and the C&P punctuation and special letters/symbols problem.

I'll post either when I hear from him or have a different path, but at least it works with Chrome!

Maybe so.

Joe blew it.

She in no way let the country down.

Bunch of fans bitching that their guy did not get the honor first.

I think your blinded by race on this one. He has almost 3 times as many medals, and was way ahead of her in raising awareness on mental health in the world of elite athletes.

She deserves one, but AFTER he got his, IMO, and in many others' opinions.

She stood before the world and faced her abuser along with her teammates and said that guy did that TO ME.

Then she got the twisties in the Olympics and rather than mail it in she stood up and I cannot do this. I will not do this!

It was much more than athleticism.

BTW

When she was leaving DC a fight attendant offered her a coloring book...

Maybe check out Phelps' personal struggles. Oh, wait. He's a white male. Doesn't count, right?

I do not make the picks.

I did a profile on him in 2008. Great guy. Terrific family. He has earned a slot. But...

awards recipients are selected for their political value as well as how much is deserved. Jim Jordan for fucks sake.

Biles has a lot of clout in a community Democrats must excite in 22, black women being called on to save the country from itself... again.

Yes. You underscored the point. Optics count more than accomplishments.

RIP Ivana Trump, age 73.

Reportedly fell down stairs.

As for Ward, think it's now well established that he doesn't read for meaning.

Um ..."fell down the stairs". By herself? Or with  help? What did Ivana know?

It's amazing how quiet folks around here are about the reduced gas prices.
Mainly because there are none.

Wrong again, Ferret Face!!

BIden just found out Saudi Arabia is tapped out.
We are on our own until we can get some sense back into our Government in November.

That's nice.

Premium or diesel?

I paid $4.39 a couple days ago, but saw $4.19 earlier today. Regular. The diesel is still near $5.

If the gas prices drop upon election of the GOP majority Congress, then we know it's rigged.

What you think Biden found out is at variance with any and all reporting, but what else is new?

News Item.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman says Saudi Arabia is almost tapped out on increasing oil production.

The Saudi prince said that they will not have the capacity to produce beyond 13 million barrels per day.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, the country is currently producing approximately 10,211,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

A potential for a 27% increase = "tapped out?"

Hah!
