Dems seemed to go for the safer centrist choice in Florida, over the young Prog candidate.  I hope that works for them and Benito DeSantis can be stopped.  It does mean Progs will have to hold their noses when they vote in November.

Plus - Republican candidate are "lacking", esp. in Senate races.

Things look more rosy now for Dems than they did 6 months ago.  Add in the certain shenanigans that will be occurring - and all bets are off for 2022 midterms. Thank God Trump is still viable.  Had he drifted off into the sunset (back to business world), Republicans would be in real trouble.

If the rumors are true, we have  got a problem. And tragically, we have experienced this so many times before,NAACP President Derrick Johnson said in a statement on Tuesday. This is not how you treat Black voters who turned out in record numbers and provided 90% of their vote to once again save democracy in 2020.

Many people in the USA join the Military after they finish high school, and the Military will send them to college, and the Military will give them business loans after they finish college, etc. Also, many people go to work building top secret aircraft and stuff after they come out of the Military. Other jobs after the Military include police officers, border patrol agents, and prison guards.

The only thing is, the Military will not accept the people who are Color Blind, and there are other things that will disqualify people from joining the Military.

Right now the good jobs are for truck drivers who are making $100,000 per year now, and also for managers of In N Out Burger fast food restaurants that pay $120,000 per year.

A degree is still valuable, and an education matters, but life is hard right now, and if you do not have a natural curiosity and a desire to learn and to improve yourself, then you might as well just go drive a truck or work fast food.

And some of the jobs require a lot of education but do not pay very much, it is about what you want to do with your life more than it is about just money. The Psychiatrists at the Wellness Center are not paid very much, but they are very important people. And many Doctors are working for low pay or for no pay at all with groups such as Doctors Without Borders. Public School Teachers work for low pay, but they are very important. Then there are the Professors at the Community Colleges, etc, who are not making much more than the truck drivers. Getting an education is not always about making money, it has to be more of a choice about how you want to live your life, and your priorities, and service.

If you just need money, then go drive a truck, but if you want to have a richer and more fulfilled life then go get an education. And Cesar Chavez said that the best use of an education is to help other people with. An education is all about preparing you for a life of service, if you want to go in that direction.
