Biden's plan could use some tuning so the focus is more heavily on the Pell money.  I need to see solider figures to have a clear sense of whether or not it's handing money to some upper middle class borrowers.  But I'm sure any sliver of truth in that will have the RW media howling like banshees through the ages.  Which will make irony meters explode everywhere that irony is being measured.

Bart, two to one is pretty good. Pell gives a readily operable definition to enable a quick roll out letting the top line numbers get sorted for motivated borrowers before payments start again next year.

Things look more rosy now for Dems than they did 6 months ago.  Add in the certain shenanigans that will be occurring - and all bets are off for 2022 midterms. Thank God Trump is still viable.  Had he drifted off into the sunset (back to business world), Republicans would be in real trouble.

Real trouble, as opposed to the cheap crooked trouble they are in now.

The Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) in 2019 said prosecution of then-President Trump for obstruction of justice during the Russia investigation would not be warranted a recommendation that the team of lawyers gave to then Attorney General Bill Barr at the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller s investigation.

The DOJ released the memo Wednesday, which revealed that the OLC, which is considered to be the top legal adviser to the attorney general, found that the evidence described in the Mueller report was not, in our judgment, sufficient to support a conclusion beyond a reasonable doubt that the President violated the obstruction-of-justice statutes.

In addition, we believe that certain of the conduct examined by the Special Counsel could not, as a matter of law, support an obstruction charge under the circumstances,states the memo written by Steven Engel, former assistant attorney general for the OLC. Accordingly, were there no constitutional barrier, we would recommend, under the Principles of Federal Prosecution, that you decline to commence such a prosecution.
