It is worth asking what constitutional authority DeSantis has to purge elected officials who disagree with him.
the Florida Constitution might be your first reference point for clarity.
DeSantis said the suspension was because the official announced he would not follow the law.
Quite a different take than yours.
An elected official cannot disregard the law and hide behind the ballot box.

Why vote for a guy who is going to focus all his energy avoiding the consequences of his crimes rather than governing your state?

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/sep/23/ron-desantis-andrew-warren-abortion-ban-lawsuit-trial

I am talking to you Florida.

It is time to dump your slimy republican baggage before it drags you fully down under the mire.

Hope Warren took the BAR in other states.

Ohio GOP candidate is not only a traitorous piece of shit he LIED about his military service.

https://www.axios.com/2022/09/22/house-republicans-ohio-trump-majewski

Zoom in Democrats have been relentlessly hammering Majewski on television over his extremist views.  He broke through police barricades at the Capitol, then blamed police for the riot. Now he wants to break our country apart, one Kaptur ad says.  He's not just radical, he's dangerous!

Yep - cant disagree.  Go, AP.

(keep us posted on the race, LB)

Not pursuing criminal prosecutions is an option state prosecutors often take, which is not a violation of the law.  If it were, why hasn't DeSantis suspended several county sheriffs and prosecutors who have refused to prosecute violations of certain gun laws in Florida?  This point came up in early August and DeSantis had no explanation.  Looks like he only suspends prosecutors who disagree with him and whose suspension makes political theater in his Trumpy culture war he's ramping up for a 2024 run.

As for your last line, let me remind you that you expressed quite a different view Jan. 2017 -- Jan. 2021.  In those times you were all "let the voters decide!"

Might want to get your apples and oranges in the proper baskets.
The decision to prosecute an individual is based onmany factors.
The outright defiance of a law regardless of circumstances is not the same.
Surely you cannot be that naive.

Just so you learn something today

Mook not moke.

Definitions from Oxford Languages

Well.....you can claim both

As for its etymology, the OED says that  mook is  of uncertain origin but  perhaps comes from moke   a 19th-century colloquialism that first meant a donkey and soon came to mean a dolt or a fool. (Random House also calls  mook a probable alteration of  moke. )

I was naive...It's a bad thing to be.
It's very wise to raise one's children so that by age 16 they are naive about nothing.

US street talk on YouTube ...group of young women interviewed:
asked:
"If a guy is rich, but no good in bed, would you date him"?
They said, very happily, 'Yes, spend his money and cheat on him".

Then other young women singularly in street talk happily admitting to cheating on their ex with his best friend, brother etc.

Might want un-naive your teenage etc sons last they become victims.

The most popular republican, the guy who keeps the rest of the party in his diaper with a spare cheeseburger, is currently only able to manage 33 percent approval.

Donald had better hope Ronald goes down just a hard as he is being dragged through the mangle of our legal system or his political grift will be in the same state of ashy ruin as his life in real estate is now.
