So Kirsten Sinema has left the dems to be an Independent.
I doubt that will change much of her voting habits in the Senate. She is a loyal 97 per center for Biden and the dems. But she will likely not change on opposing the blowing up of the filibuster or packing SCOTUS.
But her progressive detractors probably will not like the idea Sinema is no longer subject to a 2024 primary challenge.
That poses a dilemma for them. Putting up their own candidate in the general election could split the vote on the left and give Keri Lake another chance to flip the seat.
The Sinema switch is all about cutting off the progressives at the pass.
