Did your mama tell you that all white men are evil? The US elected Obama and he proved to be a wise choice compared to those that followed. Sleepy Joe wants to be a warrior chief oboy.

Lets do a poll about war with China over Taiwan. I say no under any circumstance. A complete disaster. Not another Vietnam.

It is not about aptitude.

The issue is that from the bottom up everyone on your side is full of shit.

Shit is shit no matter how cleverly argued or sincerely held.

Yes, shit is shit. The conservative movements are anti-intellectual, because they so utterly reject critical thinking and facts that are not favorable to their medieval roots.  The part of the article about Joseph de Maistre was spot on.  No political ideology has so completely failed to incorporate empirical input as conservatism.  That is why every attempt at a chat about actual ideas and concepts here ends with deflection, distraction, cries of SCOREBOARD, and gleeful attacks on liberals with a puerile focus on optics and/or age.

LOL!

The recent liberal dissents at Scotus were embarrassingly  sophmoric and missing substance,

As for Justice Jackson she is apparently clueless to the feelings of Americans who in every polling demogroahic want Affirmative Action to just go away. It is especially revalent to Justice Jackson who is on the court , as Winsome Sears pointed out, ONLY  because she is Black and a woman.
Lot of interesting racial hypocrisy in identifying just one set of demographics. And out and out racially biased assumptions in that "ONLY".

There are lots of things you do not understand.
Affirmative Action morphed out of a Kennedy Executive order to mandate federal contractors could not discriminate in hiring based on the color of one s skin.
It grew to be most prevalent and controversial in higher education.
Today, in reality as the LATimes reports,
most institutions accept most students who apply which means they do not  need to use race as a factor to apportion seats. Rather, they mostly look at grades and transcripts to evaluate whether the applicants have a good chance of succeeding, experts said.
Of the 1340 colleges and Universities in the US only about 65 elite schools( representing about 4 per cent of the student populationuse affirmative action policies

The idea that other schools exist for those who do not get into elite schools is a little like saying well, you cannot move into this neighborhood but there are OTHER neighborhoods.

If it costs a  minimum of $2m to buy a home in a certain 'elite' neighbourhood, and you only have $1m, then you can't live there, even if you think you deserve to.
You have to live somewhere else.
The real world.

The real world.

I lived in a house in Malibu worth millions that was owned by the ex-wife of Sammy Hagar's family doctor, and one of my roommates was the daughter of a Chinese general.

Here is the house where I lived in Malibu... It is a nice house, and I loved living there.

http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/6315-Gayton-Pl_Malibu_CA_90265_M15737-07387

I also attended an elite acting school, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, I attended when it was in Pasadena, but now it is in Hollywood, at the Charlie Chaplin Studio, and there is also a campus in New York City.

Sometimes poor people can do impossible things. But, then there are the hard times too, so it is a roller coaster, peaks and valleys. You have to be able to walk with Kings without losing the common touch.  And then when it gets hard one needs to remember that it can get easy again, one just needs to persevere. Just because one is poor, it does not mean that they cannot attend the elite schools and live in the great neighborhoods.

Salute,

Tony V.

Except, you underinformed upside down putz, the Affirmative Action programs at Harvard and UNC were factors in determining admissions among already qualified individuals. Both schools used a lot of different factors in choosing among qualified persons, of which one was racial diversity. Others far more favor whites.. So it is like choosing among people with the ready cash to buy a house and say to some, try that cheaper neighborhood

We are a little distracted with halting and avenging republican terrorism and treason. Once republicans are stopped dead in their tracks with no hope of ever rising again to shower shit on the country, we will have more time to restore fair, legal and beneficial practices like affirmative action.

We will start sooner if you and yours disavow your death cult today.  It will save you taking a fuckton more losses. I include this because you and yours always need a selfish reason to do anything.
