Just as a mental exercise (painful as that may be for some of you), can anyone recall a sitting president who polled well during an inflationary period?

There is a reason the line of economic indicator Repos talk about is inflation.

The correct word is EVERYONE
That your response is not another negative economic indicator is noted.

Better question.

What President backed a misnamed $2 trillion American Rescue Plan that led to a surge in inflation from which things only got worse?  For a follow up he touted the Inflation Reduction Act that has nothing to do with reducing inflation and never will.
And what President, amid his own stupidity, continues to blame record inflation on Corporate Greed?

So strange to some that mass immigration carries such dire negative economic consequences. It only gets worse folks! Many more will be sleeping on the streets. Lets just take in 2 million a year and feel good says sleepy Joe.

Really needs to be an age limit for prez to avoid a mess like this. 62,65, 70, 72? I personally will never vote for Trump he would destroy the constitution to be dictator. Classic narcissist in the Hitler, Stalin, Putin vein. Kamala may be able to lead Sleepy Joe in the right direction.

The problem is older voters. No one over 60 should be allowed to vote without first passing a citizenship test on the spot.

As Luee says in his ancient wisdom, old age clouds judgement.

It is bad enough we have to feed and hose down the old people. Nothing good ever comes out of letting them make important decisions.

Red is really feeling the downstream effects of the trump tax cut and his four years in which the nation had no effective leadership.

It is starting to pinch for him. I hope he can hang on through the overwhelming reelection of Joe Biden as President and the seismic dismantling of the republican party that will follow.

Nothing about clouded judgement but you eliminate the possibility of a senile puppet like sleepy joe or a deranged narcissist like the Donald running against each other. I am all for favorable legislation for the elderly. Many occupations have a mandatory retirement age for a reason. Should be one for the top office in the land?

It is said Obama is still 'President' behind the scenes.
Maybe 70 as the limit age to be elected president... then finished at 78.
Try that, if that didn't work, make it 65...then finished at 73.

Joe was obviously not 100% 'with it' before he was elected President.
The People voted for him anyway.

Saw him on my tv last night, boarding a plane...wearing sneakers, stepping slowly and carefully, holding onto the railing...not a fall in sight. Very wise.
