Those three terms mean three different things, so it would really depend. 

I prefer more specific terms because there are different ethnicities and regions woven through those larger categories each with unique histories in America.  The Lakota history and struggle, for example, has elements particular to itself, not shared with Miami Cubans or rust belt Blacks or Tejanos.

DNA tests generally show most Scandinavians as mixed race, technically, with some Inuit ancestry.  Real common thing among northern Scandinavian people, as some Inuits migrated west from Asia instead of east across the Bering Strait.  There are pix of my grandmother where you can see a hint of it.  So possibly she had a Sami herder from the far north in her family tree.  I thought it was pretty cool that she'd walk around barefoot in the winter, but have not been able to emulate that.

I cannot be racist because I am part Native American Indian, and my Grandfather from Arkansas might have been part Black, they all mixed in the old days, like the Cajuns in New Orleans. It would be silly for me to be racist, and then do a DNA test.
