Red,
And how does forcing a pregnant woman to bear a child fit with your comment
The moral aspect remains with the individual.
Taking away the woman's moral choice is not leaving the moral "aspect" with the individual. It is the state taking control of her body. As my post on China's policy yesterday by addressed, this is what Xi wants to do, to make all women of reproductive age breeders.
I do not live in China. If you want to tell XI what you think have at it.
Wow. Completely ducked the question. China was mentioned to point out how their Woman as Breeder policy parallels your own expressed position. The question is how do bans and restrictions on abortion fit with your own assertion?
The moral aspect remains with the individual.
Dobbs removed a constitutional protection of the woman's right to make her own moral choice on a medical decision.
That conflicts with your usually libertarian views on personal autonomy.
Dobbs overturned , in essence, a right wrongly granted by a previous Court.
It has nothing to do with the moral choice which women have made for centuries.
The political platform of the Libertarian Party states:
Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration. I am not a Libertarian.
Since the US Constitution is silent on the matter it is left to the states and the people
And I am fine with that.
