I like Joe.  But it is similar to the way I like avocado.  It's good for a while but then it turns funny in the fridge.  And brown.  Well, Joe isn't turning brown, so it's far from perfect as an analogy.  But a few more trips to the tropics could render him a little browner.

As long as I'm exploring the candidate as vegetable topic, I will add that Trump is more like okra, always slimy, tasteless,  and probably best if fried.  Or he could move to Alabama and be stored in pure nitrogen.

I don't have a vegetable for Nikki yet.  Lentils seems to easy, though then she would be quite the dal.  So maybe.  But no, lentils don't fit with conservative ideology.

Trump holds 40 percent of GOP voters from prison. Haley gets most of those left plus a minority of independents, losing the White House while GOP chaos depresses partisan turnout to give Dems both chambers plus surprise governorship and statehouse pickups along with a sweep of ballot issues.

Trump and Haley fighting for the GOP nomination through November would be hilarious though the only way Haley gets enough votes to make a contest is if the SC upholds Colorado as they should or sloppy don gets locked up quickly. I would be pleased to see both things occur.

You might find the 1912 election results interesting.  Also the only other race with two presidents (though that one was a four-way).  Wilson the Democrat won with only 42% of the popular vote.  Taft and bull moose Teddy both got around a quarter, and Eugene Debs with an impressive (for a Socialist) 6%.  IIRC, the White House switched back to the standard bathtub after Taft's last day.

Keep growing that base of Haley in the primary Biden in the general voters. There are enough people already in that camp to outnumber the rabid white Christian nationalists who have flocked to trump.

Haley actually running her campaign through Super Tuesday will probably do trump enough damage that a third actor will not needed in the general to defeat and degrade the power of our current terrible crop of republicans.

I think of the election of 1968 when LBJ went into retirement because of Vietnam. Biden should go into retirement because of his very permissive and unpopular immigration policy. Nixon who won later became a criminal. The society was a fractured mess similar to now.

I do not think you did. I think you like being ruled over by terrorists. The fact that President Biden is not a terrorist bugs you a lot.
