A month per charge served consecutively should be plenty. It is toward the bottom end of the sentencing guidelines. He is an adjudicated rapist, fraud and famous recidivist so he cannot be allowed to skate with too light a consequence. 34 months seems about right in this case.

Who knows, maybe he will discover good behavior for the first time in his life and earn a reduced sentence in a year or two.

Personally I would expect a fine and a mostly suspended sentence with community service. Scrub some subway toilets, weekends in a halfway.

Whatever jail he winds up in, he'll likely pass the time writing a book about his struggle. It wouldn't be the first time a prisoner did that.
