Gryzelyk hit being characterized as s "dirty hit". Hardly. And far more within the biunds if hockey than the heralded Krug hit from Game 1.

The first line of the Bruins is being called out for underperforming.

You didn't watch either game.

Or don't know the game.

Your ingorance is evident.

krug's hit was hard but clean/borderline open ice hit. He didn't leave his feet or go high. It might have been a charge.

But play-off hockey.

and the refs didn't blew the whistle when he got mugged in front of the net just before....

play-off hockey.

Grz was face to glass "defeneless", and took an elbow/shoulder to the head.

A minor penalty was called. Grz is on conc, protocol. He might be out for games/series.

It was a dangerous shot to his head.

There will be a hearing today to see whether a suspension is warranted.

Bruins 1st line has been terrible so far.

They seem to have responded.

And the Blues responded last night with some physical smash-mouth play.

Totally took it to the Brunes.

That 3-minute relentless offensive attack in the 2nd period was impressive.

I see the Bruins are all whining about the refs this morning. The Blues are just outplaying them.
Go, Les Bleus!

You have to admit that HamiltonIII's lack of a sense of irony is one of his most endearing traits.

it seems the NHL has scheduled a hearing today for one of the many non-calls on Blues head-hunting hits last night

it would have been better to get them right the 1st time.

"Blues center Ivan Barbashev has been suspended one game for an illegal check to the head, the NHL department of player safety announced Friday.

No penalty was called on the play.

“Barbashev delivers a high, forceful hit that makes Johansson’s head the main point of contact on a hit where such head contact was avoidable,” the league said in a video. “It is important to note that the head is the main point of contact on this play.”

Does a hearing about the officiating happen, too?

It already took place. It seems after Game 3 Blues Coach Berube wept about his team being unfairly targeted for targeting Bruins heads, so he appealed to the league and won his appeal. The Bruins appealed as well, thinking head-hunting and slew foots have always been penalties.

The hearing is scheduled for early July.

Back to Boston. Both teams are 1-2 on the home ice this series.

Good game for the Bruins, if not nearly as one-sided as the final score suggests. Still, Chara's got to be amused by his scoring a goal tonight.
