If you put him in based only what you he's done so far then you'd have to put Johan Santana in, too.

Still, and all, Jess Haines is in, so I'd have no problem with Price.

Santana is somewhat like Don Mattingly's HoF candidacy. Maybe the best at what they did, but not long enough.

IMO peak Santana was a better pitcher than Price.

Agreed.  But if Price is an HOF guy as of today, then so is Santana.

I don't think Price is a HoF guy today. But he's got a few more years to bulk-up his resume.

Same for Jon Lester.

I'd have no strong problem with the vets committee "Bainesing" Santana in the future.

That would have been more satisfying had I had a chance to watch it, but it will have to do!

And too bad about that 4th homer, Mookie. But one more 3 homer game and you'll tie a different record.
