I think Simmons was hurt by the removal from ballot rule.  Surely he'd have climbed from the initial 3.7% he received had he not been dropped from future consideration.

Yes, well earned - and fuck Miller for not appreciating his inclusion.  I say - no showup, no go up (the plaque, I mean).
