No.

Another "open air diffuses the virus more than a closed space does" voice heard.

So with NY state imposing a 14 day quarantine on travelers from high-risk states that have not bent the curve like a Koufax 12-to-6 hook, how is it going to work with Rays and Marlins playing against the Ys and Mets. Is MLB going to get a special consideration?

Was wondering the same thing.  I'm still very skeptical that there's going to be baseball this year

Always a chance restrictions lifted by that time - but yes, since players are being tested it also could be that Rays players can play in NY anyway.

Yup. So it may be a moot point.  Covid is nasty and insidious and has little regard or respect for our national pastime. I'm pretty sure its a Phillies fan.

I can see delays and covid-postponements, (like rain-outs, but with coughs, but no highlights of the seasons past to kill time). But 60 games or 6, somehow the owners will manage to justify and play the post-season.

Trump could just issue an executive order banning testing and declaring the disease over.

IMO since crowds are irrelevant perhaps it would be advantageous for the Marlins and Rays to relocate north for the summer months and get the fuck out of covid-rampant Florida and move to a bluer state that practiced some self-control and regard for public health and safety and closed down to bend the Uncle Charlie.

For example, there's an empty stadium in Pawtucket that could accomodate a MLB team like, the Blue Jays, who might need to relocate out of Canada.

Just a thought.

And I was thinking that TB or Miami would be better for McCoy, anyway... Miami's average home attendance was lower than McCoy's seating! (They're the only ones. TB was next, but 40% bigger.)

There are a few others that would work, especially if you included the Mexican League!

NO, the sun won't kill the virus, but the virus could kill your son. Mask up.

It's not about the sun, it's about the open air being a safer environment than being inside the circulated air of a dome.

The league is reportedly leaving it up to individual teams to decide if fans are permitted in stadiums.

His post, though incorrect, leads me to wonder if they will even bother with day games.  With a limited # of games i would guess that evening games would be best to maximize ratings and revenue.

On a related note, was there any thought to playing doubleheaders to get the number of games up past 60?
