Mookie Betts, doing his part to ensure a fifth game, back in SF.

Still early in this one, though.

The Astros are a heavy (61-39) favorite to make it to the World Series over the Red Sox.

The Dodgers are a small favorite to win game 5 over the Giants, 53-47.

The Braves are even less favored to make it to the World Series than the Red Sox, so heavily favored are both of the West Coast teams. They're at only 34%.

Yet the Red Sox are at the bottom of the barrel for winning the World Series, at 14%. The Astros are at 26%.

Actions have consequences.

Hader is not an eighth inning guy. During the season, he threw exactly two innings in the eighth and 52⅔ in the ninth. For Milwaukee, the eighth inning was Devin Williams' domain, but he was out with a hand injury suffered during a late-season temper tantrum.

At the time of his injury CNN reported: Williams told reporters on Wednesday that he had too much to drink and got "frustrated and upset" over something on his way home after celebrating the Brewers' National League Central title on Sunday. He said he punched a wall with his pitching hand.

"I'm pretty upset with myself," Williams said. "There's no one to blame but me. I feel like I've let my team down, our coaching staff, our fans, everyone. I know how important of a role I play on this team and a lot of people count on me."

Way go go, Devin.

Dusty Baker won the battle of the two most arrogant managers in MLB.

I've never seen such love for a hitting coach.

I know folks made their predictions for this series, but has your mind changed based on how the series has gone?

Are we still evenly split between the Dodgers and Giants?

Who wins tonight?!

I still expect the Dodgers to win.

I think pre-season I had the Dodgers beating the Twins in the World Series. I was sure the Twins would finally exorcise their Bronx demons and play deep into the fall. I got it wrong. Mostly indifferent about who wins tonight. A little more invested in Friday's game.

I think I have been wrong on all of my picks to date. So congratulations on making the World Series Boston!

Contrary to the story, the Dodgers are still the favorites to win the World Series and they haven't even gotten to the playoff with the Braves!

in 1986 I was in a massive NYC sportbar for Game 6 of the WS, one of just a handful of Sox fans in a club filled with Met fans, and I was taking shit all night, the worst from foul mouthed "ladies" who suggested certain things I do to myself, I had never really considered. But as the Sox were 1 pitch away some SOB in the blue and orange congratulated me. I yelled at him, NO!". It was the most savage most cruel yet exquisite deployment of reverse MOJO I had ever. The guy was a malevolent wizard of dark magic.  I can still hear his evil chuckle on cold October nights.
