A good game by the Red Sox, but only halfway to the World Series.

Still a lot of work to go.

Josh - the Sox nut - who pulls his hair out with every play - not wanting to seem too excited at WS prospects.

In his mind - champagne already out.

ALEX should get this done - as Dusty is real real bad historically in these spots.

Which MGR do you think is getting his troops in proper frame of mind - and which is just sucking on a pick?

Your usual delusions of mind-reading. I'm very excited at the prospect, but I am even more aware that a 2-1 lead in a best of 7  only ends in 5 games about 31% of the time. And as the image shows, the team up 2-1 has lost more than 30% of the time. (It's now up to 69% from that 2014 article.) And if you think the lessons of 2004 are ever far from this Red Sox fan's head, you are even more screwy than I have previously believed.

I think both managers have their players in the best frame of mind possible, but that there is only so much even the best managers can do.

Yes, I am sure both Baker's and Cora's players know both managers' records in the post-season. It may even affect some of them, but not much if at all.

Yeah, good numbers

31% winners at 2-1 down
Just one winner ever at 3-0 down
per Steve Phillips today, MLB Radio

Buehler time?  Maybe.  I could still see Braves in 6, if not 5.

Another interesting musing from Steverino -
That Aaron Boone's Yanks, "with some tweaks", could be OK next year.
Deal Voit/Torres for arm(s) and add another in free agency, says Steve.

Maybe they take Cano back

Heh.

I hope the Yankees re-sign Rizzo and find another lefty bat.  I was disappointed with Gallo but probably shouldn't have been.  He is what he is.

Expect each starter to go at least 6 (today NL game)

MLB Radio guy

I wasn't aware Roberts pulled Graterol for Jansen in the ninth with 2 outs.  Ouch.

4 runs in the bottom of the 8th and the Dodgers pull a win out at almost the last minute!

Braves still up 2 games to 1.

That's three blown games in this series. 2 by LA, 1 by ATL.

Mookie now holds a record in the play-offs. Anyone here know what that is?

Wow - looked like strike three on the breaking pitch, Eovaldi to Castro.  Rough.
