I was surprised he was fired, even as I was aghast at some of his decisions.

I have to think there was more going on than meets the eye.

Or, at least, I hope so!

What baseball books of fiction have you really enjoyed? Could be when you were a kid. Could be recent.

What such books did you dislike a lot?!

I have attempted to impose a ban on the poster known as HamiltonIII.

As we all know, sometimes people can work around the bans because I cannot broadly ban many a given IP address without impacting others among you. I have attempted to address that, as well, but we will see whether that effort is successful.

If you see a new post from somebody that you are pretty sure is him, flag it and I will take a look as soon as I can.

Regretfully,

Josh

I'm not in favor of banning. But I'm not in charge around here I just post.

Hammy however I will not defend at any time anywhere.

This team is going to age me.

Helluva win for the Ys.

The Sox overall stats are not all that bad. They could easily have a dozen or more wins with the stats they have. Just a weird bad season for them.

The Sox offensive stats are ok, they can hit, but their pitching #s fell off a cliff. ERA declined almost 1-run from 3.7 to 4.6, reflecting both a shitty back-end of the BP, and the relative ineffectiveness (for various reasons) of 4 of their 5 starters (everyone except #5 ERod). i thought their SP was going to be a real strength this year.

They might have been ok, (made the post-season) with one of Sale or Price pitching as expected, but having both of them suck/no-show along with Porcello's suckage,

no chance.

They will ride Sale while missing Price.  Will definitely pay for a closer.. But may not be pretty for a while.

Where's Price going?

I'm more concerned with Sale than Price, But hopefully both will contribute next year.

IMO the doomsayers are overstating how dire the situation is.  They're pretty stacked with young good position players, even if some trades shake things up.

I'm not in favor, either.

It was a long time coming. Multiple warnings by Liq in the past. Warnings  by me. Short suspension not long ago.

I miss some of his posts - he was not without redeeming features, but eventually he proved he could not stop.

He was an insecure indecent piece of shit who was incapable of controlling his darker anti-social impulses.

He brought the ban upon himself, in fact in his final post here, as a practical matter, he invited it.
