7 men came to bat in the bottom of the first for the Dodgers.

ONE put the ball in play.

That is not what we call exciting baseball.

Conversely, the 9th inning in the Cardinals vs. Braves had bunches of balls put in play and was quite exciting!

That 4 walk first inning provided all the runs they needed, but they got more, anyway.

The advantage of not having to be in the play-in round showed up tonight, though given the lack of hitting from the Nats, even Stras or Sherzer might not have been enough.

I enjoyed the Nats-Dodgers game quite a bit. Good tension down to the last pitch.

I don't expect Washington to win this series, but I would love if it they did!

Wow, what a finish to the TB-Houston game! TB had chances galore in the 9th, but could not get enough runs in after their relief staff gave up two insurance runs to the Astros.

I think that Houston won't be trying their closer in a 4 out save again, though.
