I enjoyed the Nats-Dodgers game quite a bit. Good tension down to the last pitch.

I don't expect Washington to win this series, but I would love if it they did!

So would I. As an old time Yankee fan I can still remember the Yank/Dodgers rivalry as expressed by my late father. he disliked them far more than he did the Red Sox.

It's embarrassing that a team that seems to have everything the Nationals have has to dry to make do with such a terrible bullpen.

The loss had nothing to do with the bullpen.

If you say so.  But, for the record, I didn't say it did.

Big game for Stros.  Already lose Verlander for Game 1 v Yanks.  Need to keep Cole, Greinke from being necessary in a game 5.

Braves fans should shelve the chop and start the rain dance.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/09/us/atlanta-braves-tomahawk-trnd/index.html

Quote
There were some changes during the Atlanta Braves game Wednesday after the team announced it is taking steps to "reduce" the Tomahawk Chop, an arm movement done by fans to cheer on the team.

It comes after St. Louis Cardinals' rookie Ryan Helsley, who is a member of the Cherokee Nation, called the chop disrespectful.
...
"Out of respect for the concerns expressed by Mr. Helsley, we will take several efforts to reduce the Tomahawk Chop during our in-ballpark presentation today," a spokesperson for the Atlanta Braves told CNN.

"Among other things, these steps include not distributing foam tomahawks to each seat and not playing the accompanying music or using Chop-related graphics when Mr. Helsley is in the game."

Helsley expressed his concerns after Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Friday.

"I think it's a misrepresentation of the Cherokee people or Native Americans in general," Helsley told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "It's not me being offended by the whole mascot thing. It's not. It's about the misconception of us, the Native Americans, and it devalues us and how we're perceived in that way, or used as mascots."

Gave them  what LA needed

Nats come back (to back) vs Kershaw

Interesting - Maeda then mowed down WAS three straight - if LA scores, I am not going to Jansen right away at 4-3 after 8.
