JD not opting out.

Francesa called Beltran close on the HoF.
He is a borderline guy, but Baines opens up the field to a lot of borderline guys.

Mike likes Winfield better

Winfield had the same on base % that Mike scoffed at for Carlos - and a slightly lower overall OPS - also a lack of "black ink", like Beltran

Dave did have more top ten MVPs.

Mike also favored Dave Parker, a 40 WAR guy for his career.  (69+ WAR for Carlos, 64 for Winnie)

JDG and JV - an aspiring legend and a Hall of Famer.  Congrats to 2 great arms for their work (and Cys) this year.

Yes, managers - pitchers CAN handle innings.

Weak  enough group of first years, except Jeter, that some of the PED class might get in?!

I'm getting close to saying fuck it on the PED guys, (Bonds, Clemens, Manny) but still mulling it over.

Right now I'd probably vote for Jeter, Schilling and Omar. He was the AL's Ozzie, played forever, and IMO his defensive brilliance is Hall worthy.

I think there is room in the Hall for a great fielder, one of the best fiedling SS ever, and a guy who played for over 20 years on the strength of his glove.

I let in the 'roid guys who were generational HoF worthy talents when supposedly clean - Clemens and Bonds, Manny waits a bit - along with the two HoF worthy short stops,  Vizquel and Rafael Furcal.
