Yankee sign-stealing could damage Joe Girardi's reputation.

"And we eventually caught it" would have made far more sense had he not started that explanation with, "I was part of a system..."

Well, maybe it was with the Cubs. Or the Rockies. Or with Tony LaRussa--famed cheater.

Yup. No idea which team Girardi was with when he was a part of the system, at least from the snippet shown.

Yeah, just shut up and let Manfred do it the way he wants to, Tony! None of this standing up for the players crap.

I'd rather have a labor guy for the MLBPA.  I think the owners and Manfred believe they can roll Clark.

Well, no - they declined all the Manfred overtures.  But did agree to a season - of any length - at full prorated pay

Now the player's mantra is "tell us when and where" (we hear you, Mike Trout)

- but of course this would be followed by a player driven lawsuit.

Ball in MLB's court - yes - though 22 of 30 owners would need to say yes.

- Likely result?  64-72 game season or no baseball at all.  Matters not to me.

That's what Manfred says. It's not what they say.

You may not care, but you sure seem to have chosen a side.

I care if they play, but I have less say about that than I do about police reform in the US.

Perhaps in your urge to bash Mr. Clark you failed to understand that the MLBPA feels that Mr. Manfred has gone back on his word from March. To the players, Mr. Manfred's claims are deceitful. To Mr. Manfred, the players' position is wrong.

You keep painting this as if the players are the ones screwing up. It's pretty unclear, but as has been pointed out multiple times the owners have a track record of deceit in negotiations. This doesn't mean the players are angels, but it does mean one must look twice at what the owners claim.
