From the MLB article

The two-way player designation for 2020 also allows players who met the requirements in 2018 to qualify this season. So Ohtani, who didn't pitch last year because of Tommy John surgery but did pitch as a rookie in '18, can still be named a two-way player for the Angels right away.

The Ohtani clause.

So do the Angels. They plan on getting their money's worth out of 2-way Ohtani this year.

That is if they play.

The Central Division teams have a far easier time this year than East or West.

https://theathletic.com/1909001/2020/07/03/cleveland-indians-ready-to-discuss-changing-team-name/

After 105 years, the Cleveland Indians’ nickname might be on borrowed time.

With the NFL’s Washington Redskins launching an internal review of their team nickname this week, the Indians have initiated plans to further examine and consider the future of their own. The topic made the rounds in the Indians’ front office on Friday, the first full day of spring training workouts at Progressive Field.

“We are committed to making a positive impact in our community and embrace our responsibility to advance social justice and equality,” the team said in a statement sent to The Athletic on Friday evening. “Our organization fully recognizes our team name is among the most visible ways in which we connect with the community.

“We have had ongoing discussions organizationally on these issues. The recent unrest in our community and our country has only underscored the need for us to keep improving as an organization on issues of social justice.

We live in remarkable times.

It should never have had to get this far, but given that it has done so, seeing the Redskins say that their change is likely and the Indians begin to approach the issue for real has some very positive vibes to it.

Hello, Atlanta?!

The Braves are probably going to announce a task-force is looking into the issue.
