Larry posted about Margot in spring of 2019.

Margot Robbie.

I would need more than Kimbrel for Margot Robbie.

Way more.

I imagine the OF plan in 2015, when Margot was traded, was still taking shape, But Margot was behind, Betts, JBJ, Hanley, Holt, Rustillo, and eventually 10D.

He was in AA

Just finished his age 20 season

But you are right.  Have to give to get.

I see Dusty avoided getting dusted.  Maybe I will watch game 5.

Talk this morning of TONY LARUSSA returning to manage the White Sox, 35 years after he departed.

And of CORA returning to Boston.

The Cora rumor was floated the same day they fired Roenicke. It would not be the worst idea they ever had. I understand he did a good job in his last MLB position.

Two cheaters getting courted by MLB teams. SAD.

Yes. Let's hear the drums beat for Cora.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday via Zoom, GM Brian Cashman was very frank in his answer about his catchers and what to expect heading into next season.

“I think it’s certainly a fair question obviously the way Gary Sanchez’ season transpired, and then the way it ended with Higashioka actually starting in the postseason as many games as he did,” he said. “I think it’s one of the discussion points we’re going to have to focus on.”

Translation: We will be making every effort to sign J.T. Realmuto.

Sounds more like they would be more apt to deal/let go of Sanchez and have KH start

JT is staying put.

Carlos Correa needs this treatment: https://thisdayinbaseball.com/dickie-noles-flips-brett-and-the-1980-world-series-on-one-pitch/

This is what won the 1980 World Series. And Sunday marks 40 years since this wonderful day in Philly sports history.

OK, I guess it stays up

Hope you guys dont mind an interloper

It was nice seeing Graterol, the prospect Sox almost grabbed in the Mookie deal, get lit up a bit last night vs Braves.

Still dont like that deal - but time will tell (and I do like Verdugo, as I have posted before)

Jeter Downs, please pick up the emergency phone!

Sox got one of the best closers in the game for a AA OF who was serially blocked in Boston.

You got to stretch this more than Gumby to get an AD trade out of it.

And forget all the talent and draft choices the Lakers sent to the Pels to get AD.

Are you saying that after the Betts deal the Sox couldnt use Margot right now?

There was also a bit more to the deal.

Kid the sox traded Margot after the 2015 season. That was 5 years ago and he was blocked by Betts, JBJ, Hanley, Holt, 10-D, Rusney Castillo.

He was a trade chip to get a needed piece.

And after 3 years of so-so performance in San diego they traded him to Tampa.

The fact that he hit a HR and caught a foul-ball 3 days ago in no way negates the fact it was a very good ("smart trade") trade 5 years ago.
