Let's see how long that lasts. IMO, if they stay in the race, they should restrict him to pitching only, once we get to mid-August and going forward. That way he can focus on where he can help the team most.

Smearing Jackie Robinson's name: A Chicago Little League team has admitted it used ineligible players during the 2014 World Series causing it to be stripped of its U.S. championship.

The admission is part of an agreement that ends a lawsuit in Cook County court between the Jackie Robinson West (JRW) Little League and Little League International.

The agreement states in part the U.S. championship will not be reinstated and JRW admits its tournament team did not meet residency and school attendance eligibility requirements unbeknownst to the players.

Sad.

It was nice to see the BoSox come out on top in a tightly pitched close game. We'll need to win a goodly number of those to have this season go very far past 162.

Idiots already saying JDG may not reach certain statistical levels because Mets will be limiting his innings late in the season.

"Well, having thrown just 68 innings a year ago......"

I am looking for 300th strikeout to come in less than 200 innings.  Lets see if he attains that level.  Already has the highest K per 9 in history among starting pitchers, besting COLE from 2019.
