Maybe, but I just heard him talking about how in the NL, it will be starters going long the day after the Dodgers ran two relievers out for the 1st and 2nd inning of their finale with the Giants.

Lets just say this - Flores facing Scherzer - a horrible Giants matchup - was the result.
I do think the NL starters go longer- takes no genius to think so

My point is that the NL is not doing what Smoltz said they are.
And in 2021, the top 3 teams in IP/GS are AL teams. Yes, 10 NL teams were above the league average, but only 8 AL teams, but that's a pretty miniscule difference.
If you want to figure out the average, be my guest. I think you'll discover that the gap is negligible.
