And Joe Buck just delivered a eulogy to Remy on tonight's World Series broadcast.

to quote Buck, "a sad, sad loss for all of baseball, and beloved in all New England"

Quite a few retired ballplayers die each season.  Maybe Joe would like to name some of the others in the next broadcast.

Joe Buck only got his job due to nepotism. Like Chris Wallace.

And Josh.

Can't wait for an explanation for that last one.

Oh, wait. He can't explain it - he can just make vague innuendo.

Joe Buck only got his shot at the job by nepotism. I think that's just true.

He held the job because the powers that be thought and think that he does it well. (I think he varies wildly.)

The same seems likely of Chris Wallace. Nepotism gave him the opening, but he still had to deliver.

Indeed, Ham, one might say they had a lot of privilege that influenced their lives.

Just like you did, even if they may have had more than you. Just like the vast majority of us here, your life was easier because you were white. It's just another form of unearned initial opportunity.

Nice to know you finally admit that privilege is a thing.

so he doubles down on lies

and gets the same results.

As an aside, to test kid's claim I opened a new SoSH account last night with a handle that had a direct connection to the '86 WS.

went through as quickly and easily as a lie through Hammy's shit-stained lips.

I would think Henry Aaron deserves a mention.  As does Eddie Robinson, who died this month.

You must have missed the Henry Aaron mentions, Kid.

LMAO

Josh you have a gift for understatement.

Kid, Pre-game 3 of the WS, there was a video  tribute to Aaron on Fox that ran a few minutes honoring the man and his life. And then his family was incorporated into the 1st pitch opening ceremony. And even Dusty Baker, the Astro's mgr, hugged each member of the Aaron family as part of the tribute.

Lastly the #44 was carved into the vast center-field expanse of the ballpark for all to see.

It might have been the one faux pas in what other was a fitting tribute to the great Hank Aaron.

Aaron, as you may or more likely were unaware, played right field.

The evidence is clear. That yoy can't scroll down a webpage says a lot about your lintligence, mule.

The lies are yours.

As always.

I've already shown that.

The beatings continue.

You've never learned from your past mistakes.

Or you're a masochist.

Coming from a guy who lectured us about what "battling" meant with regard to cancer, it's pretty damned funny.

Aaron played right, left, center, first, second and third.

And DH.

But only ~1% of his games were in Left or Center, with the other positions with even fewer than that.

The two points stand: (a) Putting the giant number in right field would have been more appropriate and (b) There was plenty of attention paid to Aaron while they were in Atlanta.

I don't know if during the AL Wild Card Game Eddie Robinson got a tribute of any sort, but I would guess he did.

There's a GoFundMe page to help pay for a proper coffin for Jerry Remy's funeral

Here's what they're trying to buy for the late loser:

Leave the fiction writing and revisions to the naturally dishonest banks.
