Today's Astros at Yankees is looking pretty good, 5 6 innings in.

Very exciting to watch today's no-no of the Yankees.

Yep.  Solid game.  Altuve HR took the steam out of it.

78 years ago tomorrow (6/26/1944), now.

Quote
"70 years ago Saturday, more than 50,000 packed the Polo Grounds to watch
the Yankees, Dodgers and Giants play each other in a six-inning contest
to raise money for war bonds. Each team played successive innings
against the other two teams, then sits out an inning. The final score is
 Dodgers 5, Yankees 1, Giants 0."

https://sabr.org/gamesproj/game/june-26-1944-the-tri-cornered-war-bond-baseball-game/

I think MLB should do more of this sort of thing and on a regular (annual, at a minimum) basis.

Fundraisers for worthy causes, like homeless vets or children. Figure it out.

Sure.  We'll take him.  Room for a few more 30 mil plus guys....

So, back to being a Mets fan, I see. Hard to keep up with your laundry changes each season, kid.

Yeah, sure, man - "back to..."

It's documented - I bet Mets to win NL - at 5-1 odds.

Your odds improved last night, after Bryce Harper's thumb was broken by Blake Snell's fastball.

It feels like deja vu, all over again.

The Astros @ Yankees game is worth turning on the tube or radio for, though Houston has a 3-0 lead. It's going into the 6th 7th inning with the same situation for the home team as yesterday.

After Arte Moreno was involved with a corruption scandal in Anaheim over the sale of Angel Stadium, I think it created a bitter taste between Arte and the people of Anaheim, and I think at this point the best thing would be for Arte to sell the Angels baseball team to the City of Anaheim. Anaheim can own the Angels the same way that Green Bay owns the Packers.

I wish some good guys like Mike Sciocia would help the City of Anaheim, when Mike was the coach the Angels won the World Series, back in 2002.

The City of Anaheim needs to buy the Angels, and we need some good people to run and coach the team. Maybe Albert Pujols can help.

Salute,

Tony V.

Stanton ended the Yankees' hitless streak at 16 innings and their consecutive scoreless streak, as well, with a solo homer.

Still quite something!

The Pirates/Rays game is also interesting, tied up 1-1 after 7 innings.

Felt like a rerun of Thursday night, coming back from 3-0 to win 6-3, this time tying it in the 8th and winning it in the 10th.

The Angels-Mariners brawl took 17 minutes to end.

But I still wonder at the bullpens needing to run all the way in before joining a melee.

Today was a big game at YS.  I said so before it started

And to get 2 of 4 with what occurred in between....

...team of destiny.

Order me up 7 though of NYY v HOU.  I guess it could go either way (dont even bring another team into the equation)

Hold on a sec, and don't write the obituary just yet. Just last year, the Braves won the whole thing without Acuna. Lots of time left, and the series wins keep coming. Let's see how they do against those Braves this week.

Well, they threw at Trout's head the night before. The Mariners set themselves up for that one.

Big win for LAA last night, kicking off a key "is either of these teams real" series with Chisox  .
