Its St Louis that Phils are looking to beat out.

It's okay for you to set your sights that low.

Might do better to finish sixth (at MIL) than fifth (at ATL).

No more Vazquez. A couple prospects.

No more Diekman. A new catcher who is decidedly a downgrade.

Add Tommy Pham, a .236 hitter this year. Details still to come.

So far, I am unenthused.

Why do we still have Cordero screwing up the outfield?

Where is Tommy Pham when we need him? Or Rob Refsnyder?!

Or Pedro Castellanos, for heaven's sake!

Red Sox taking a quick look at PHAM, who they can have next year for 6 mil (1.5 buyout)

What do you foresee as their 2023 outfield, left to right?

Mistake is taking Bell for Hosmer.

I think they'll get over that.

What do you foresee as their 2023 outfield, left to right?

Benintendi, Bradley, and Betts?

Verdugo, Hernandez, and Renfroe?

Cordero, Duran, and Refsnyder?

Pham hasn't been worth much since leaving TB 3 years ago. It is telling that his hitting would be a huge upgrade over JBJ and somewhat over Cordero. For that matter, it's better than Kike's has been for 3 of the last 4 years.

I have no idea what next year's outfield will look like, given Bloom's trades and the current mix of players we have.

Just none.

Upgrade at 1B for the Red Sox:
https://www.mlb.com/news/eric-hosmer-rejects-trade-to-nationals

Still no idea what the Sox are giving up in this trade - part of me expects it to be one of our better starting pitchers.

Does Dalbec learn to play the outfield? Arm's strong enough, but I think he's way too slow. 3rd base for the time being, while we wait for Dever's return, with Arroyo moved to 2nd?

Who knows. But I can hope this is the end of the Cordero at 1st Base experiment...

once Hosmer recovers from his neck strain, that is.

Phillies trade deadline updates: Philly acquires Brandon Marsh, David Robertson.

DFA Herrera and Familia. And reported to be down to just them and the Jays for Syndergaard.

Ia a move that reshapes the AL Central, Cleveland has traded ian Leon to Minnesota for Sandy Hamilton. I may have those names wrong but I do not think it really matters.
