Red Sox have spent about $3mill on Sale's salary so far this season. For 0 wins.

Not a good ROI.

Cody Bellinger on a pace to hit 84 home runs this season. Check his bat.

2-3 day for me (14-20)

SYSTEM goes 4-1 for a 12-11 week.

We will give it another week before any tweaks.

Josh

Are you maintaining a historical data of your picks by 1) H/A 2) Fav/Dog or by specific teams and how they do both straight win losses and against the ML?

For example home dogs (you've bet) have won (for example 45%) and returned XX% of money wagered?

"Maintaining" is probably too strong a term. The information is there, if I decide to crunch it. I am not doing anything about runs, however. Mostly, I am not that interested. If I ever decide I want to consider playing for real instead of this hypothetical crap, then I would actually track all of that.

As it is, a part of me thinks that for this we ought to be staked to a certain amount of money and then for each day determine how much we wanted to put on which games, tracking our totals that way - and when we go through our funds we go through our funds.

But I am not going to do that alone.

Not quite sure how you get to 84 home runs, as he has 14 in 29 games, which works out to be 78, but still pretty astonishing.

He's caught up to Yelich.

WBW (over 50 years ago) I used to handicap and track NFL games by to see if certain patterns or trends developed which could be exploited for profit. But it took a lot of work and this was before Excel. so there was a lot of # crunching by hand. And as there were no bodies of work about NFL handicapping back then, I had to find stuff on my own. It was fun and a great learning experience and i made a few bucks.

Sobering stat for RSN. Of all teams in MLB history to have played .400 baseball in April, only 8 have made the playoffs.

No explanation for your last stat, huh?

And yes, though that it is as high as 8 is heartening!

. Tom Verducci said it on MLB TV, last night. But he elaborated. Besides the difficulty of making such a comeback, the Sox have to do it in a division with the Rays and the Yanks, each 90+ projected win teams. Makes for a very bumpy ride ahead.
