We had a change of software a while ago. This has been an intermittant problem since then, occasionally exacerbated by my efforts to control spammers. I presume you set your status to logged in forever?

A good night forthe Red Sox, especially following the 17 inning loss last night (or this morning, more to the point)!

The Sox have a long haul to be in the playoffs without a 1 game play-in, but series like this are essential to get there.

Update on the hit on Ortiz, a position first taken here by me, and quickly denied by the RSN, who will never admit they were wrong:

Big Papi got sloppy, so they decided to pop he.

I know things, people. I have better sources than you. Wake up.

I suspect as (IF) the US advances to later rounds, I'll probably watch. Haven't so far.

Couple of local products were the Jamaican goalkeeper tandem - one from Jersey, the other from Jamaica, Queens.   Quite a few US players with eligibility for other nations are taking their shot.... with the US club of course so tough to make.

My kid played travel/HS soccer with a very talented kid who was a pretty good Div 1 goalie, and who has logged time with the Irish U-17 (?) Last I heard she was on the US U-23 team.

I remember watching this kid as a 5 year old playing rec soccer and her instincts for the game were astounding. The kid at 5 was a great athlete

https://www.mlb.com/news/rays-tampa-bay-montreal-split-season

What do you folks think of the idea of a split season between Tampa and Montreal?

The stated goals of such a move would be to keep baseball in Tampa, while improving the team's revenue.

I'm skeptical that it would improve their finances, rather than eating into them.

This seems like a "solomonic" decision to split the Rayby.

sounds like a messy solution.

Move them to:  Montreal, Charlotte, Nashville, Vegas anywhere but Tampa.
