Dr Charles Stanley just mentioned that we need to trust God, we may not understand it at the time, but we just need to trust God.

I do not know why I had to be poor and homeless on the streets of Los Angeles for 2 years, clean and sober with a few years of school and management experience and other work experience, I was out there on the streets begging for an honest job. But, I need to trust that God has a plan for me, and that everything is a part of God's plan.

One purpose of my experiences was that I can help other people, I have dined with Mayors and I given them my ideas on how to help the homeless and the mentally ill, and I not only studied Psychology and Sociology, etc, but then after studying I spent 2 years out there homeless on the streets so that I could experience what the homeless people are going through, then I have been trying to use what I learned to help the homeless and the mentally ill, and to make California a better place. And I am friends with the people who run the local Mental Health Association and I know how it all works. I experienced homelessness and hunger and poverty so that I can help other people who are going through those same things. I can teach the Mayors and others how to best help the homeless and the mentally ill, and I spent time out there on the streets so I speak from experience.

Also, our leaders are wealthy and spoiled and there is no sense of urgency when it comes to helping the homeless and the hungry and the mentally ill, but if they had all experienced homelessness and hunger then they would have more of a sense of urgency and they would be helping the homeless right now this minute.

And as a writer, and a poet, and as an actor, and as a movie producer and television producer I can help the homeless, etc, if I succeed. Like Ratso Rizzo by Dustin Hoffman I can create characters to help the homeless. And I wrote a movie script "Echo, A Rock and Roll Tragedy" which makes one fall in love with a drug addicted porn star, and you cry when she dies, the film is a tragedy, and it makes you want to save the woman, the way that we all wanted to save Ratso Rizzo. And I have written poems while sitting on a bus bench in Hollywood homeless, you cannot fake that experience, and I can use the experience to help others.

I also lost my Father who died when I was 9 years old, so I can help the Foster Children and the children without Fathers, I can relate to how they feel having grown up without a Dad, and not having a family business to work for or a Father to teach and help you. And many of the homeless people on the streets are Foster Children who aged out of the system and ended up homeless, they are not criminals, they just do not have a Father to help them, and to teach them.

God allowed me to be homeless and he allowed my Father to die when I was a child, so that I can use my experiences to help other people. I have a sense of urgency because I know what it is like to be out there on the streets homeless and hungry, and I have compassion and empathy. And God has brought me to Mayors and others so that I can pass on what I learned so that we can help people.

Also of note, I went to Mexico as a teen with Youth For Christ and we helped the poor people and the orphans in Mexico, and I can relate to the poor, and I have a special connection with them, helping the poor people in Mexico was a fantastic experience for me. And I can relate to the poor people of the world, and I know what it is like to be hungry. You cannot fake that.

I need to trust that everything that I have went through was all part of God's plan.

Salute,

Tony V.

Here is a poem I wrote a long time ago, while sitting on a bus bench on Hollywood Blvd.

The Blvd
by T.L. Verley

People scared of each other
like everyone is a killer
Homeless, beaten, and not unlike a frightened animal
amongst the cream of the crop
an eighty thousand dollar horn honks at a man with no shoes
An angry fist raises to a lady who is doing no wrong
Three out of a thousand are not afraid to smile
A lady from thousands of miles away
struts beautiful legs and seems not afraid of anything
Another lady smiles and says "Hi"
A dude bums a smoke and outstretches a hand to shake
Autographs of the immortal in concrete
living in millions of minds
In between the desert and the sea
had Thomas Edison not been so greedy
this place might not exist
had others not wanted freedom away from him
this place might not exist
but it does
And people come from all over the world
to see reminants of their home-screen heroes
A hooker sells love because love for free pays no bills
was this her childhood dream
Is the empire crumbling
Why don't people smile at each other more
Why does some asshole bombard through traffic with his horn blowing
are everyone's rights not equal to his
If I were on the roof of a passing bus I would have pissed on his hood
Come on people we are not all killers
enjoy each other and embrace each other and love each other
I walk until my feet hurt
then I sit and watch
Cool place really
but it is all crumbling
Am I and are we

One issue right now is education for the poor, and I fully support giving a free education to the Foster Youth.

The rich people like Ivanka Trump have rich families and they can pay for their own educations, but for the poor people without parents then I think we need to send them to college for free.

Of note, having studied Psychology, I know that if we can change how people think and feel then we can change how people behave. If a movie, or a television show, or a poem, can change how a person thinks and feels, then you can change how they behave. An education also effects how one thinks and feels, and thus also effects how they behave. ( In France the people are all educated, and very polite, it is like they all went to charm school. If you educate your population then you can see the education on the streets because the people are so nice and polite. We can raise ladies and gentlemen by educating our population. )

We do not need to give a free college education to the rich people, but we should give a free education to the Foster Youth who do not have parents. An education is the great equalizer and we can raise good people, and they can work and help others instead of being poor and homeless, right now a huge percentage of the Foster Youth end up homeless, and instead we need to send them to college for free.

We need to publish best versions of the entire curriculum online and hire tutors to work at libraries, community centers, and group homes. That way there is a free education for everyone along with top quality material available for every school. A teacher or a school or system could still choose to use a substitute for some or all material, but it would still be there for any student to pursue who was further curious on a topic or wants to see how a lesson or chapter or subject is generally taught.

This would diminish the influences of backwaters like Texas on the content of American education which would be a great boon to our learners in and of itself.

Then read Bukowski.  He was the FBI's Most Wanted darling killer for many years.

Van Morrison Gloria or Laura Branigan Gloria?  Oil's exclamation points refer to the VM song.

Kangaroo bondage joke?  Well done.

The Doors did Gloria too.

I was friends with a cousin of Gloria Arroyo who was the President of the Philippines.
