The bad people gunned down the Healthcare CEO in Manhattan as he walked along the street.
Shot him in the back.
No one is safe from the bad people, they're everywhere, waiting to kill you if they so choose.
The world today is even more horrible today than it was when I started work 60 years ago the other day.
Now there are people invading homes in the area I used to live, 'middle class NW Sydney suburbs'.
Home security cameras have filmed them creeping around inside homes early am while families are sleeping.
Same in Melbourne...got in thru a doggy door.
Watch-doggy slept thru the invasion.
Little boy can't now sleep alone, frightened the bad people will steal his prized sporting medal.
The bad people are terrorists.
Said terrorists stole cars from all but one invasion.
Early Childhood Education is the answer, in all areas, even the poorest of the poor areas, and the children need to be taught to be kind, and to have good manners, and Christians are taught the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule, and we can teach the children that ONE PILL CAN KILL and to just say NO to drugs, etc.
Also, we can send people to college, we can send the Foster Youth to college for free, etc. And a new medical school can be built in Morehead, Kentucky, etc.
And right now the animal shelters have a lot of stray dogs, the people can bring the dogs home to protect their property from burglars, etc.
In Malibu we had zero crime, we did not even lock our door, and all of our neighbors were kind and educated people, we need to transfer that same kindness and education to the less affluent areas. And we have problems with corruption where the money designated to the poor gets stolen and does not make it to help the poor, and we need to stop that, we need to make sure the poor get help. And we need to have wealthy altruistic local companies to help our poor, etc.
What separates a bad neighborhood from a great neighborhood? We need to see what is transferable besides just money. And gentrification works, it does make areas nicer, but it was nice here when Esperanza was helping the refugees from Mexico and when our complex was owned by a wealthy man from Taiwan, Bing, and this place was full of refugee children, etc, it was nice because the people were good loving Christian people. The love of the Manager, Esperanza, could be felt in the whole complex by how she ran the place, even though it was housing for poor refugees. Now we have gentrification and wealthier white people, and it is clean and quiet now, but it was always safe even before gentrification. If you love the children, and if you teach them to be kind, etc, then we can have a better world.
And we can teach people with movies, and with television shows, etc.
Of note, Roseto, Pennsylvania, had ZERO crime, even though they were not wealthy, because they had a good sense of community, a lot can be learned from The Roseto Effect.
With Mexico, we need to send helpers and teachers and diplomats, etc, instead of building walls, etc. Mexico can be beautiful in 20 years if people take the right action today, and all of the Americans will want to retire to a nice beach in Mexico. And we can send food from Mexico to Kentucky while we send everyone in Kentucky to college, etc.
The Catholic Church can help, and Pope Francis is a great man. Along with Kiwanis International, and the Peace Corps, etc.
Salute,
Tony V.
